Simplify your college application experience

Start your college application right with the Common App for Mobile. It offers you the same stable, seamless application interface that you have come to expect from the organization's website, all from the comfort and safety of your smartphone. The app integrates your desktop and mobile user experiences effortlessly. You will have access to more than 900 schools, analyze financial aid programs, and get guidance from your school counselors.

What is the purpose of The Common App?

Applying to higher education can be a slow and frustrating process for students and their families.  In addition to completing their final year of senior high, teenagers may also take part in SAT or ACT at various colleges. The Common Application is approved by over 900 institutions, including several colleges outside the U.S., and it ultimately aims to simplify the student admissions process.

With this application, first-time and transfer students can apply to several colleges simultaneously. Students only need to complete the information that most schools require, including identification, address, parent’s profile, and extracurricular activities. Before you start using the mobile application, you will need to go to The Common Application’s website first so you can create a new account and application. The app will help you keep track of deadlines, request recommendations, and set reminders.

The amount of time needed to complete the application differs according to the criteria of the school. In addition to the required parental records – such as employment information and academic record – many schools require first-year students to submit letters of recommendation and transcripts as well. Applicants ought to provide teachers and counselors ample time to send these documents to the Common App before the deadline.

Streamline your college application

The Common App shares similarities to the LinkedIn app. You can upload your college application and other necessary documents to your account so that colleges will be able to review it. It gives you more time to refine your college essays, canvass college campuses, manually register for other colleges, etc. A nice benefit is that you will receive real-time updates on your applications. The app does not refer colleges to applicants though, so they have to choose themselves.
